Dutch trio, bashing out true garage/soul/punk for several years. This is from their "Loaded" 7inch ep on dB's.
10. Black Lips - Wild Man
I'm pretty sure you know this band, but this recording is rare as hell. From
7", released on Shake Your Ass Records in 2004.

Just found out about this band. Recordings from '78 or something. Covered by
Final Solutions, Digital Leather.
12. The Dirtys - It Ain't Easy
Amazing track with Mick Collins on guitar. He also produced their debut album,
released on Crypt Records. This recording comes from 7", on Italy Records.

Lieve Martin en Sonja, met heel veel plezier heb ik deze cd voor jullie samengesteld. Het is geen cd geworden zoals jullie van mij gewend zijn. Het uitgangspunt bij de start was; pop. Dus meer liedjes, minder grooving garage-shit.
Welnu, ik kan hier een heel verhaal gaan ophangen, dat doe ik niet. Wat ik wel heb gedaan is de tracklist opgesomd, hier en daar aangevuld met wat onzin.

1> Quintron - Waterfall
Toetsenmeneer uit USA, heeft al vele platen gemaakt. Deze track komt van z'n
onlangs verschenen (9e) lp "Too Thirsty For Love". Zeer verrassende plaat,
swingend, stuwend. Ook Oblivians hebben een plaat met hem opgenomen...
2> Duches Of Saigon - Seasons Change
Franse act, kort maar krachtige track.
3> Blutt - Astrid
Ook Frans.
4> Black Lips - Bad Kids
Geweldige act uit Atlanta USA. Zwaar leunend op de sixties sound produceren deze
heren de ene na de andere hit. Zowel 7"s als LP's. Deze track komt van hun
doorbraakplaat "Good Bad Evil", verschenen op Vice Records.
5> Davilla 666 - Cuidad
Zes-koppige band uit Puerto Rico, ook leunend op 60s sound. De track die ik voor
jullie heb opgenomen is meer 80s new wave sounding. Van hun debut lp op In The
Red Records.
6> Sonic Chicken 4 - Sexiest
Franse act, ook verschenen op In The Red. Velvet invloeden....
7> Crack Und Ultra Eczema - Testicle
Zal ook wel Frans zijn, komt van dezelfde comp. als 2 en 3. Heavy shit, wel hip!
8> Le Club de Chats - Tututu
idem. Maar dan weird.
9> Hunx & His Punx - Cruisin'
Van 7", beetje nieuwe stroming die ook binnen de garage scene niet onopgemerkt
is gebleven. Poppy, niet te serieus, pakkende refreintjes, maar ook weer niet
te clean.
10> Kamikaze Trio - Death Party
Of deze track nu zo past weet ik niet, eigenlijk past ie nooit. Anderzijds,
Faveneef, een goede Gun Club cover is nooit mis. Ben benieuwd of jij ut diggt.
11> My Dad Is Dead - Time Has Come Today
Nu we toch in de 80s zijn beland, deze track komt van Homestead 2LP labelcomp.
12> Volcano Suns - White Elephant

13> Nobunny - Chuck Berry Holiday
Dé hit van het moment, zelfde categorie als 9, maar dan net een zetje beter!!
Briljant meezing-refrein!! Check deze ook eens op joetjoeb.
14> Vivans Girls - Tell The World
USA all girl band, heerlijke koortjes,wat zal ik zeggen? Het pakt je, of
niet.De vraag is, welke invloeden horen jullie?
15> Vermillion Sands - Mary
Van 7", Italiaanse act, garagefolk? Heerlijke track.
16> Dragibus - Crocodile In A Aquarium
Opnieuw Frans, goed bezig daar!
17> Holly Golightly - Anyway You Like It
Engelse verschijning, opvallend veel in de buurt van Billy Childish te vinden.
Komt van plaat die is opgenomen in de beroemde Toe Rag Studio's, alwaar de
heer Liam Watson de knoppen beroerd. Geweldige zeer authentiek analoge sound.
18> Lorette Velvette - Come Into My House
Van 7", samen met Mick Collins. Soundtrack van film.... (ff checken)
19> Death - Politicians In My Eyes
Detroitse band, 1 LP gemaakt in '75, ... For The Whole World To See. Deze track
heeft Mick ook opgenomen met the Dirtbombs, is alleen op tour 7" verschenen.
Je hóórt gewoon dat Mick dit móést coveren, fantastisch! Er staan meer geweldige
nummers op de plaat, check it out!

Hot of the press; op Bancroft Records, dit dames vijftal. Opnieuw een popsensatie
uit USA, nog geen maand uit! Op roze vinyl, including 2 buttons!!
22> friend/enemy - Thax Douglas
Dat verhaal vertel ik je nog wel es, voor nu; luistert en huivert!
23> ESG - My Love For You
Nog een original done by the Dirtbombs.
24> Swell Maps - Doctor Of Cake
Geen idee of je dit kent, maar dit heb ik op voorspraak van Mick Collins
aangeschafd. Eind jaren 70 punk-met-een-randje, uit Engeland. Van 7", zat gratis
bij reissue van hun debut 2LP Trip To Marineville. Grote invloed gehad ook op
Sonic Youth, Pussy Galore.
25> Buddy Miles - Them Changes
Waar ken je die naam ook alweer van? Welnu, na the Expierence ging Buddy solo, en
debuteerde met deze single, van gelijknamig album, 1970. I rest my case!!
